Halifax Medical Esthetician Course: MedSpa & Dermatology Clinic Training Updated

Nov 18, 2023

Using this updated course from the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy (844-337-6975), new students can become fully trained and ready to begin a new career in a dermatology clinic or MedSpa, with as little as 8 weeks of training.

With an updated fast training option from the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy, new students can now complete their Basic Training for dermatology clinics, MedSpas, and home spa clinics, in as little as 8 weeks, and without quitting their day jobs.

More information about Dermysk Academy's hybrid training options, the Basic Training for new MedSpa careers, and a full list of available courses can be found at https://academy.dermysk.com/

While this new course still requires a minimum of 8 weeks to complete, it uses a new hybrid learning system that allows students to complete the majority of their classes from home, or anywhere with an internet connection. After completing 7 online training modules, which require approximately one week each, students will also receive one week of hands-on, practical training, at the nearest Dermysk Academy location.

This new combination of training styles offers students several benefits, including allowing each student to work at their own pace, and at their own convenience. The online modules have no set class times or due dates, allowing students to work on their courses over lunch breaks, or overnight, and hand in each module as it is completed.

New students will first learn about the MedSpa industry, its history, and the regulations that govern aesthetic procedures in Canada. Each course also covers safety and hygiene requirements, how to deal with troublesome clients, and what to do in case of complications.

In the Basic Training, students will learn how to complete up to a dozen popular MedSpa procedures, before receiving hands-on training at the Dermysk Academy. These procedures may include IPL hair and tattoo removal, dermaplaning, skin pigmentation treatments, and fractional ablation.

During their practical training, students will practice these techniques using real MedSpa tools, on both simulated and real clients, to ensure that every student is fully experienced and confident in each procedure. After graduation, students may also return at any time to learn more complex techniques, using the Advanced Aesthetics class.

This Advanced class covers complex procedures including Body Sculpting and stem cell treatments, and requires either 5 years of MedSpa experience, or previous graduation from the Basic Training. Alternatively, students may enroll in a Master-level course which includes all of the training from the Basic and Advanced programs, as well as exclusive content not found elsewhere.
