FlightList has relaunched its flight search engine with a ground-up rebuild that adds price alerts, saved-search bookmarks, route pages and expanded language and currency support.
-- FlightList has launched a rebuilt version of its flight search platform, introducing new tools for travelers searching for cheap flights across flexible date ranges. The update, detailed in a blog post published October 26, 2026, retains the site's core flexible date-range search capability while adding features built around traveler feedback.
The rebuilt platform supports search windows of up to 180 days, with filters for budget, number of stops, trip duration, layover length, flight times, days of the week and airline. Travelers can adjust these filters directly on the results page, with results updating instantly without running a new search. The rebuilt platform, announced in The New FlightList Is Here, supports searches by airport, city, state, country, region and continent. A city search can include multiple airports. Travelers can also search from California to Florida without selecting a single airport at either end. Newly added region options include the Europe Schengen Zone and the Europe non-Schengen Zone, letting travelers search for flights within the Schengen Zone as well as to and from destinations outside it.
The U.S. Department of Transportation recommends flexibility in travel plans and checking alternate airports and routings when comparing fares. FlightList lets travelers compare fares without fixing both a travel day and an airport pair before beginning a search.
Among the additions are price alerts, which check the cheapest matching flight daily across a traveler's selected filters, including wide geographic areas and date ranges of up to 180 days, and notify users by email when a fare moves 10 percent or more in either direction. Each alert email includes the old and new price, and multiple changes are consolidated into no more than one email per day. Because alerts can span broad search areas and long date windows, they can surface sharp price drops and unusually low fares, including potential pricing errors. The update also introduces bookmarks that retain a traveler's search filters for later use. Bookmarks and price alerts on FlightList require an account.
The rebuild adds route pages covering more than 180,000 routes, each including a six-month price calendar, airline information and nearby airport options. The platform is available in 32 languages and supports 50 currencies, and it can be installed directly from a browser on a phone or computer. The minimalist interface presents flight data without advertisements or upsells.
"A lot of what's new started as a message from someone using FlightList," said Hans Desjarlais, President & Founder of FlightList. "We rebuilt the platform from the ground up so travelers could get the same flexible date search they relied on, along with tools like price alerts and route pages that we heard they wanted."
